Now that we discussed the technical aspects, we will shift our attention to the how Digital Ledger Technologies (DLTs) are used in order to realize a commercially sustainable and open Metaverse:
1.Fungible token protocol. We developed a native cryptographically-secure fungible protocol token (ticker symbol $YOM), which is a transferable representation of utility, which provides a convenient and secure mode of payment and settlement between participants who interact within the ecosystem on YOM without requirement for intermediaries. 
2.Non-fungible token protocol. We developed a layer on top of the Metaplex SDK for Solana that is the non-fungible token (NFT) standard across all YOM experiences but also works on all Metaplex based marketplaces within the broader Solana ecosystem.
Creators use $YOM to apply various revenue models on NFTs, allowing them to monetize the metaverse in much more flexible ways. For this reason, Creator need $YOM to operate on YOM. This means that for every succesful new client onboarded in the ecosystem, money will flow into the YOM ecosystem, driving the price of $YOM up. 
The next subchapters will present how the economics of NFTs are handled on YOM and how $YOM facilitates new metaverse revenue models with these NFTs We will close off this chapter with information about the token distribution.
